As a veteran who has experienced the grueling realities of military service, I’ve firsthand knowledge of the challenges that can arise long after the uniform is hung up. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a silent epidemic that affects countless veterans, leaving them grappling with the invisible wounds of war. But healing is possible. My Story
Growing up in Westchester, I always felt a strong calling to serve my country. The military provided me with a sense of purpose and camaraderie that I had been searching for. However, the experiences I encountered during my time in service left an indelible mark on my psyche. Returning home, I found myself struggling with nightmares, flashbacks, and overwhelming anxiety.
It was a dark time, filled with isolation and despair. I felt like I was trapped in a never-ending cycle of fear and hopelessness. But I knew I couldn’t let these demons control my life. I began searching for ways to heal and find peace within myself.
